• Dahanu is famous for its fruit orchards and most famous for its chickoo plantations. Chinchani is famous for its dye makers, and Dahanu town itself for its balloon manufacturing units. Other places of interest are the unexplored Bharot caves above Village Aswali on top of the Barot Hill (2 to 3 hours hiking up), and various Jain and Hindu temples. Linked by western railway, the main station is Dahanu Road. Other railway stations are Vangaon, Gholvad, and Bordi Road. 

If traveling by road, turn west on the National Highway no. 8 (NH 8) at Charoti Naka.
